| Hilt | Similar to the 1895 model for mounted institute troops. The guard has the shape of a small hat, the wooden grips are held by two pins, and the metal parts are chrome-plated. The guard cup features the Infantry emblem. |
| Blade | Curved and chrome-plated, with a knuckle guard and a cutting edge along the outside. Square back on the first two-thirds and narrow edge on the inside for the last third. Smooth hollow grind from the knuckle guard to the ricasso. |
| Scabbard | Chrome-plated iron, with a wide mouthpiece fixed by a screw, a clamp with a ring, and a strap loop. The chape has asymmetrical wings. |
