The cup rapier sword, also known as the cup rapier sword, is of Spanish origin. The bowl has gaskets that provide greater protection to the hand that holds it. It is an authentic hemispherical cap, which in practice took the shape of a cup, supported by a pair of pins. This cup, which gives its name to this type of garnish, attached to the hawks and the handguard, was quite light. Its use spread mainly through Spain and Italy, lasting well into the 18th century.
We present a Renaissance Bowl Sword made in Toledo (Spain) with a stainless steel blade and bowl and handle made entirely by hand in the most traditional way by the Toledo gunsmith José Luis Rubio. It has a length of 119 cm. and a weight of 1.48 Kgs.
