Sword to be used with both hands, known as the greatsword of Charles V. With a straight blade, it forms a cross with the fist and the blade, which was used to kiss the cross before entering battle. Charles I of Spain and V of Germany was known in his time as THE Emperor since no king had ever managed to gather such an immense empire under his command.
He inherited from his grandparents, the Catholic Monarchs: Spain, America, Naples and Sicily; by Maximilian of Austria: Flanders and Austria, and in 1519 he was crowned Roman Emperor, going on to rule the largest kingdom since the time of Charlemagne.
