Contenidos
The Wind and Thunder Katana is designed for the Tameshigiri practitioner. Its hand-forged high-quality carbon steel blade is heavier and thicker than traditional ones. The Raiden Tsuba is made by hand in iron with an old finish. The Tsuka is covered in leather. The sheath is lacquered black.
Tameshigiri is the Japanese art of cutting test. This practice was carried out in the Edo period (17th to 19th centuries) to test the quality of katanas and continues to this day, although currently tameshigiri is practiced more to test the skills of the swordsman, rather than testing the quality of the sword, which requires the performer to be an expert.
