Katana Shinto Daisho

Daisho is the pair of traditional Samurai swords, the katana and the wakizashi, which are carried together. The katana was used on the battlefield and for most purposes, while the wakizashi was considered a melee and lower-range weapon.

Although the ideal image of this pair of weapons is composed of a katana and wakizashi, the concept of the daisho designates any combination of a long and a shorter blade, also including the uchigatana, the tachi and the tanta.

This set of weapons used to belong to an ancestor of the samurai family, since this would increase the honor of his house and he would be protected by his ancestors.
