Description

When you want to complete a medieval outfit and head protection without sacrificing comfort, this Executioner's Hauberk with Padded Coif, black, combines two pieces designed to work together. The hauberk is inspired by the executioners used by European soldiers and knights from the 11th to the 15th centuries, covering the head, neck, and shoulders and can be worn under a medieval helmet.

The chainmail is made of 16 gauge mild steel rings with a 10 mm inner diameter, with a flat riveted union. This format provides flexibility and allows for good air circulation, while the thickness of the wire offers strength while maintaining a manageable weight. The V-shaped front opening enhances visibility and facilitates movement. The zinc polished finish provides a clean and shiny appearance without the need for regular oiling.

The set also includes a three-layer padded coif, with a 100% cotton exterior and filling made from recycled fibers. Its padding helps distribute pressure on the head and improves comfort when wearing the chainmail or helmet. The cotton ties allow for securing and adjusting its position. A practical combination for LARP, cosplay, performances, historical reenactment, exhibitions, and collecting, with stable fit and comfortable padding.
