Description
Medieval metal pointed sabatons with a thickness of 1.5 mm, designed based on models used during the 14th century. At the end of the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, sabatons (also known as sollerets) were pieces of plate armor that covered the top and sides of the foot. Mounted knights commonly wore them to protect their feet from blows from enemy infantry soldiers.
They are hand-forged from 1.5 mm thick steel, blackened on the inside for better corrosion resistance, and equipped with riveted leather straps at the bottom. They have no sole and consist of a conical toe, although slightly rounded, several hinged bands, an ankle plate, a 'tongue' plate, and a heel cap, all connected by sturdy rivets.
- Suitable for sizes (EU): 44-47
