Houndskull Design: The houndskull, a variation of the late bascinet, was popular among knights and warriors throughout Europe until around 1420. It is characterized by its visor shaped like a 'snout' resembling a dog's face (hound).
Durable Construction: Made from steel approximately 1.6 mm thick, this helmet features an articulated and fully detachable visor, secured with pins and reinforced with riveted brass strips. The visor has eye slits, round openings for ventilation, and two small openings at the mouth.
Brass Rivets: The bottom of the helmet and the sides are equipped with small brass rivets called vervelles, which allow for the addition of a chain coif (not included).
Adjustable Interior: The interior is blackened for better corrosion resistance and has an adjustable woven linen lining, secured to the helmet's edge with durable stitching.
