When you want to recreate the image of a Roman legionary, you need a shield that maintains the characteristic presence of ancient military equipment. This Roman Medieval Shield Model Scutum with a brass umbo reproduces the traditional semicylindrical shape of the Roman scutum, designed to provide wide coverage and recognizable for its curved design. It is made from 10 mm plywood and decorated with colors inspired by those used in Roman iconography.

At the center stands a brass umbo made from 22 gauge sheet metal, adding relief and a marked historical character to the piece. Unlike steel, brass develops a natural patina over time, allowing its appearance to acquire new hues. The back features a solid wooden handle designed to facilitate a comfortable grip and controlled handling during reenactments and characterization sessions.

Due to its construction and finish, you can use it for historical reenactment, cosplay, LARP, theater, or as a decorative piece.
